Windsurfers and wave lovers will want to stay at this large resort on five acres of the verdant La Chéry peninsula that juts into the sea across from Diamond Rock. Two of the adjacent beaches aren’t large, but the sand is soft and white and perfect for lounging. The main beach is bigger and a sportsman’s paradise. You can join in a game of sand volleyball, or take a surfboard or kayak out for a run on the waves. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a TV, hair dryer, safe and a private terrace that overlooks either the pool or the ocean. Three restaurants offer a range of menu choices, and there are bars and shops on-site so you never have to leave the property. However, the quaint town of Diamant is nearby, there’s shuttle service to the golf course, and the hotel will arrange for tours anywhere on the island.
